Vriddhi (Grey) is a Jaipur-born photographer, writer, educator, and installation artist whose work explores family dysfunction, grief, and lineage through photography, scent, text, and alternative processes. Her practice is rooted in lived experience and engages with emotional states that are subtle, layered, and often difficult to articulate, reflecting on the residues of memory and the complexities of inheritance.
Her work has been exhibited internationally at the Lishui Art Museum (China), Photoville New York, the Arnold and Sheila Aronson Gallery (New York), the American Center for Photography in North Carolina, the Pingyao Photo Festival (China), Jhawar Kala Kendra (Jaipur), and in two solo exhibitions at The Grey Space, the art and education studio she founded in 2021. She holds an MFA in Photography from the Parsons School of Design.
Alongside her conceptual and installation-based practice, Vriddhi also works across commercial photography, undertaking editorial, portrait, and brand-based assignments. She brings the same sensitivity, visual clarity, and narrative depth to her commissioned work, often bridging the intuitive approach of fine art with the precision required in client-driven projects.
As an educator and the founder of The Grey Space, her approach centres on experiential and community-driven learning rather than traditional hierarchies. She is committed to creating pedagogical environments that encourage exploration, critical engagement, and dialogue, enabling emerging artists to develop their own voice and sensibility. Her teaching practice mirrors the ethos of her artistic work: attentive, intuitive, and deeply invested in the emotional and intellectual growth of those she works with.
